She is originally from California with a background in emergency medicine and public service (law enforcement). She specializes in Personal and Small group training, Pre and Post-natal Training and Pelvic Floor Recovery Training. What is your role at Savannah Sport and Wellness?
I am a personal trainer, as well as a pre & postnatal fitness coach, and core specialist.
Where are you from originally?
I am originally from Orange County, California. I moved to Georgia with my husband in 2021.
Tell us about your academic and professional background.
I began my career in emergency medicine and law enforcement, while simultaneously coaching and training a variety of fitness clients. I have received personal training certifications through NESTA (National Endowment and Strength Training Association) and AFPA (American Fitness Professionals & Associates). I also received a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Colorado State University – Global.
When you’re not at Savannah Sport and Wellness, how do you spend your time?
I spend the majority of my spare time with my 1 year old son and husband. We love exploring Savannah and nearby areas. I keep my own personal fitness up by working out 6 days per week at the local YMCA gym.
What are your future professional plans?
I plan to continue gaining more education and knowledge in my chosen specialty, pre & postnatal health and fitness. I will do this be receiving two additional fitness certifications from AFPA and ACE (American Council of Exercise). I also plan to gain a doula certification to help further my knowledge and understanding of the birthing process, in order to provide the highest possible experience and service to my special population clients.
Lastly, how do you like to stay fit?
I maintain my fitness with a combination of HIIT cardio and full body workouts, as well as sprint style plyometrics and agility drills, Olympic lifting, and martial art inspired workouts.
