Barbell Weightlifting Basics is well underway and we’re excited to share how this small group fitness class is going. This six weeks program is for groups up to four and goes over proper form and technique for the back squat, deadlift, bench press and olympic lifts. We get into the nitty gritty here on  our new post.

Grayson Godbee: How to clean and squat properly.

SSW: what do you think is your biggest improvement?

Grayson Godbee: My cleans.

SSW: How do you think it will help you when you’re playing sports? What sports do you play?

Grayson Godbee: Football: harder hits, more explosive out of the line. Track: faster overall. Soccer: better agility. Golf: harder swings.

Ben Harvey

SSW: What have you learned in the barbell class?

Ben Harvey: How to clean squat and how to spot others.

SSW: What do you think is your biggest improvement?

Ben Harvey: cleans, my form has gotten good.

SSW: How do you think it will help you when you’re playing sports? What sports do you play?

Ben Harvey: It will make me faster and will build my explosive strength. I play basketball, soccer and cross country.

Colt Pfeifer

SSW: What have you learned in the barbell class?

Colt Pfeifer:  I have learned to clean squat and I have better form.

SSW: What do you think is your biggest improvement?

Colt Pfeifer: My squat has improved immensely.

SSW: How do you think it will help you when you’re playing sports?

Colt Pfeifer: While I play it will make me stronger, faster and more explosive. I play soccer.
